2024 BMW iX vs 2023 BMW iX

Serving Fairfax, VA

In 2022, BMW introduced the all-electric iX SUV to its line, and this model has captivated auto shoppers in Fairfax and beyond with its expressive, sophisticated style, next-level engineering, and elite features. With your interest in the iX today, you may need to decide between buying a 2023 version or the new 2024 version. The 2023 iX and 2024 iX are almost identical, but there are a few exceptions that our associates at BMW of Fairfax can tell you about.

Performance

In 2024, the iX offers the ability for battery preconditioning to be managed independently. Other than this improvement, the performances of the 2023 and 2024 model years are comparable. Two trim levels are available, and both come with a two-motor system. The base xDrive50 trim level produces 516 horsepower and has a battery range of 324 miles. The M60 trim generates 610 horsepower and has a 288-mile range. Both versions have DC fast-charging capability and all-wheel drive.

Appearance

The exterior style of the 2023 BMW iX carries up to the 2024 model year without change. The iX has comparable dimensions to the gas-powered X5 SUV but is distinguished by edgy, crisp accentuation from end to end. The molded fenders and smooth sides feature a sharp definition line that creates a contemporary look. This bold styling continues through the deep, triangular air intakes on the nose. These features flank the kidney-style drop-down grille and are placed below the linear, segmented LED headlights. Exterior features may include a panoramic sunroof, soft-close doors, up to 21-inch wheels, and laser headlights.

Features

There are minor changes to the interior features available in the entry-level iX trim for 2024, but no new features have been introduced. Standard features are wireless Android Auto with Apple CarPlay, synthetic leather seats, ambient lights, a heated steering wheel, parking sensors, a lane departure warning, and others. Features available in the top iX trim are a Bowers & Wilkins sound system, heated rear seats, heated door panels, automated parking, massaging front seats, an internet hotspot, an interior camera, and many more.

At BMW of Fairfax, we consistently provide each customer with first-class customer service, and we are eager to help you learn more about the iX through a test drive. For a first-hand experience with the iX, visit our BMW showroom today.
