BMW has created an impressive fleet of Sport Activity Vehicles, anchored on the affordable side by the 2018 X1, X2 and X3 models. While each brings its own unique capabilities to the marketplace, the all share the qualities you expect from BMW – exhilarating power, remarkable handling and breathtaking style.

The 2018 X1 is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo-4 putting out 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, mated to an 8-speed Aisin automatic transmission and good for a zero-to-60 mph time of 6.2 seconds. X1 is available in FWD and AWD versions The X2 shares the X1 drivetrain, and will initially be available in AWD guise only. The larger X3 offers two engines: A version of the familiar 2.0-liter turbo-4 outputting 248 horsepower and 258 lb-ft, and a 3.0-liter turbo-6 that delivers 355 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque for a zero-to-60 time of 4.6 seconds. The AWD X3 is also paired to the 8-speed automatic.

The X1 exterior features an angular and rugged design, boasting the iconic kidney grille, with optional LED headlights and standard LED daytime running lights. The X1 has a ground clearance of 8.1 inches for off-road security. The M Sport Package adds aero features, glossy roof rails and a sport suspension. The BMW X2 is lower and sleeker than the X1, although it shares the same platform. The result is decidedly athletic, even more so in M guise, with lower body skirts and fender trim in contrasting color and unique front and rear bumper fascias. The all-new 2018 X3 has a cohesive look, with impressive available 20- or 21-inch tires and taillights that flow elegantly into the tailgate. Once again, you can opt for the M version, with a more aggressive shape, deeper bumpers, unique tire-and-wheel combinations and body-color side-sii extensions.

The platform shared by the X1 and X2 sets the wheelbase at 105.1 inches, while the X3 wheelbase is 112.8 inches. The X2 is longer and wider than the X1, shorter and narrower than the X3, which is about 600 pounds heavier. The interiors of the three models all excel in different dimensions. The X1 boasts the most headroom, followed by the X3 and then the X2. Leg room is about the same in all three models, but the X3 is the winner when it comes to shoulder room. However, X3 comes in last in cargo volume (28.7 cubic feet), behind the X1 (58.7 cu. ft.) and the X2 (50.1 cu. ft.). One other thing all have in common is the sporty, clean interiors with upscale materials and premium feel.

We invite you to visit our BMW dealership to test-drive the 2018 X1, X2 and X3. Each is a jewel, and one is bound to be perfect for you!
