The world is watching the news from the Consumer Electronics Show and wondering what's next. While some automakers are strutting their models of the future which are years away from being available to the general public, especially in the States, BMW was there with a model that is not only affordable, but ready to take home.
The BMW i3 was ready to impress folks who dared take a challenge. Be blindfolded, drive the car, and let it do its thing. Could you do it?
One couple took that challenge and was surprised. The car stopped short of hitting several obstacles and even sensed when something was too close to the sides of the vehicle. This is a big deal for anyone who has to travel a lot or just doesn't want to rely on their own eyes, especially when blind spots come into play.
Another couple got to see how at the touch of a button, the i3 maneuvered into a parking space from several feet away, and even had serious precision when pulling this off. Do you think you'd find this particularly useful?
