What's New for the 2023 BMW X3?
The sporty BMW X3 crossover SUV received a stunning refresh in its 2022 model year, and for 2023, several additional enhancements have been made to this beloved model. The range of body color options has expanded, including the stylish Skyscraper Grey Metallic. However, this option is exclusively available with the 30i trim level. Furthermore, remote proximity keyless entry is now a standard feature across all 2023 X3 trim levels. It's worth noting that gesture control for the X3's infotainment system is no longer available with the Premium optional package.
The BMW X3 retains the same two options as the previous model year for powertrains. The lower trims have a rear-wheel drive four-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine that delivers 248 horsepower. The top trim boasts a mild-hybrid V6 engine, generating an impressive 382 horsepower, and comes with all-wheel drive. Both engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The BMW X3 maintains its captivating and confident stance, featuring a tall cabin, a well-defined descending hood, and crisp contours along the sides. The upper and lower panels exhibit areas of definition that add to its dynamic appeal. At the front, the engaging air vents are positioned below the distinctive dual-elemental headlights. These headlights seamlessly connect to the iconic kidney-shaped grille for which BMW is renowned.
In addition to the three available trim levels, there are several optional packages to choose from. The base features of the X3 include auto-dimming mirrors, a power liftgate, parking sensors, push-button ignition, wireless smartphone app connectivity, remote vehicle monitoring, a three-zone climate control system, a navigation system, wireless internet connection, and a host of advanced safety technologies. Higher trims and optional packages offer additional amenities such as a panoramic sunroof, hands-free liftgate, heated steering wheel, head-up display, heated front seats, a 12.3-inch digital instrument screen, leather upholstery, a surround-view camera, automated parking assistance, remote engine start, a Harman Kardon sound system, a drive recorder, and more.
