New BMW Limited Warranty

When you buy a new car or SUV from BMW of Fairfax, you can feel confident that it will be in impeccable condition. BMW is well-known for instilling quality in each vehicle. We proudly stand behind the quality of your new BMW by providing a limited warranty for 50,000 miles or the first four years that the vehicle is on the road, whichever occurs first.

This warranty applies to defective materials and workmanship. It also extends to subsequent owners and applies to all vehicles purchased under the BMW of North America European Delivery Program. The limited warranty period begins on the date of purchase. If the vehicle is used as a demonstration vehicle or as a company vehicle, the warranty period starts when the BMW is placed in service.

Rust Protection Policy

Rust can take a toll on vehicles through defective materials, puncture damage in the body, and other issues. BMW vehicles are sold with a 12-year rust protection limited warranty. This applies to all models dating back to the 2006 model year, and it covers rust damage related to body perforation and damaged materials. As is the case with the new vehicle limited warranty, the rust protection warranty period begins on the original date of sale or the vehicle's initial service date as a demonstration or company vehicle.

Warranty Extension

At BMW of Fairfax, we know that buying a vehicle that is under warranty provides our customers with peace of mind. However, the warranty period may end before you are ready to trade up to a new BMW. We offer our customers the opportunity to extend their warranty contract up to 100,000 miles or seven years, whichever comes first. This coverage applies explicitly to mechanical breakdowns.

Regardless of whether you need to schedule service under the original warranty, the extended warranty, or the rust protection policy, we make it easy to get the service that your car or SUV needs.
