Performance
Two trims are available for the 2025 BMW X4. The X4 xDrive30i is available with a 248-horsepower, turbo four-cylinder engine. The X4 M40i receives 382 horsepower from its turbo 3.0-liter, six-cylinder engine. Both X4 trim levels come with standard all-wheel drive and an eight-speed auto transmission.
The BMW X5 has four trim levels. The first two trims have the same mild-hybrid, turbo six-cylinder engine that produces 375 horsepower. One trim is differentiated with rear-wheel drive while the other has standard all-wheel drive. Both have an eight-speed auto transmission. A turbo V6 plug-in hybrid trim level is also available. The dual-motor system generates 483 horsepower and has a 40-mile all-electric range. In addition, the X5 has a high-performance M60i trim. This trim has standard all-wheel drive as well as a mild-hybrid, turbo 4.4-liter, V8 engine that delivers 523 horsepower.
Appearance
The 2025 BMW X4 has a powerful look with a lean, fastback-like profile. The sides express a sporty side with rocker panels, an air vent near the front fenders and upper and lower creases that run across the door panels. The front end features a tall hood as well as large, oval-shaped LED headlights mounted above tall, geometric air inlets. The grille is slightly flared on the top, and the lower fascia trends outward sharply.
The 2025 X5, on the other hand, shows off a tall hood and a strongly defined, angled hood. The sides are expressive with a chrome air vent near the front fenders and a chrome accent lining the lower portion of the door panels. The rear haunches are smoothly molded. The nose displays a flat-bottom, U-shaped accent in chrome lining the lower fascia, and the grille has a similar finish. The X5's headlights taper to a point and are styled with a pair of pointed LED elements.
Features
The features offered in the 2025 X4 include forward collision mitigation, a power liftgate, a premium audio system, a 12.3-inch infotainment system screen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, remote start, adaptive cruise control, parking sensors, wireless device charging, leather upholstery, a head-up display, heated seats in both rows and a few additional features.
The X5 has a 12.3-inch digital instrument display screen, a 14.9-inch infotainment system screen, customizable ambient lighting, a wireless hotspot, a wireless device charger, a Bowers & Wilkins sound system, a four-zone climate control system, massaging front seats and many of the same features offered in the X4.
