The BMW i vehicles are manufactured in facilities that are just as innovative as the vehicles themselves. The Germany facility in Leipzig relies solely on renewable energy and the USA plant in Moses Lake, Washington is powered by local hydropower. The production of BMW i3 uses 50% less energy and 70% less water than the industry-leading BMW Standard. BMW i vehicles are driving the mobility of future with Next Visionaries and sustainable manufacturing.
